My Counseling Methods:

My approach is integrative, and I draw upon several established therapeutic approaches including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based techniques.

I look primarily through an existential lens, with an interest in the way that we create meaning and purpose from our life circumstances. I also come from a trauma perspective, believing that many of today’s problems stem from difficulties in the past—for example, the way that a broken relationship can affect current feelings of self-worth.

Most of all, I work from a person-centered perspective. You are the priority in our therapeutic relationship, and our treatment focus will be based on your stated goals.

I am an avid believer that meaning can be found even in our most challenging obstacles, and that our journey towards change lies in choosing to overcome what is difficult. You deserve to be fulfilled and to know your purpose in life.

Working With Me Means:

  • Come as you are, imperfectly and honestly

  • Setting goals that are most important to you

  • Respect for what makes you unique, including your cultural or religious background

  • Wanting to learn more about yourself, your strengths and your capabilities

  • Holding a vision for the future that you want to create

Whatever the problem, therapy can help.

Life can be challenging. Maybe you are stressed, overwhelmed, disappointed, stuck…When you are ready for a change, individual therapy can help you get there.
